Dale Carnegie wrote one of the greatest piece ever in the 20th century. I love it.
Tool has the greatest lyrics ever in their bittersweet melodies.

But its going to fuck me up

Remember when someone used to confide problems and yearned solutions from you, remember remember..

Now try picturing the same person confiding their problems of you to others and yearned solutions...

What mattered really was you were once there

Intriguing

Should I get a sandwich?!

Nov. 26th, 2009 | 09:43 am

The sky ran out of clouds today and had to exhibit its big fat blue belly. Then I had fever and a sore throat when I stepped out of my house wishing I wasn't balancing my life on a rope with a one-wheel bicycle.

How hard it is :( There are only two choices.
Between them lies a titan of questions

Suddenly, I realize genuine happiness is.. is... what I had. :)

Imagine

The death of the sunset brings darkness to animals conscious. The death of the night brings darkness to some humans instincts. Little petals of the wind gloating so graciously among the glaciers of the glittery glamorous glided skies; Death, death, death hold these light in great priority, swinging them with its lips so bitter. The curtains of the window to lukewarm souls wrinkled up pasting their limbs together with such force a toddler could not grasp.

The green that turned into olive. The red that degenerated to orange. The blue that leaked into purple. In the waterfalls a silver horse danced reluctantly for a secondary purpose, the haze of its expression dubbed with heavy orange ink. Serving a sentence of eternity blaming the effects of one misgiving causes without a iron ball and meek chains.. They kept living on. Facing a sea of olive they windmilled in their own thoughts, perused.

The sparrows flew.

The river of life offered more than what we could ever imagined. The dreams we lived each days turned nightmares of our own hesitation into beautiful sights so frightening when thought of soberly. At times these herculean habits of the past just wouldn't outlived the future and warped into something probable, good or bad.

Tired of lying in the sunshine
Staying home to watch the rain
And you are young and life is long
And there is time to kill today
And then one day you find
Ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run
You missed the starting gun

- Time, Pink floyd

Cellophane flowers of yellow and green

Nov. 23rd, 2009 | 02:48 pm

There are days where a madman would rave about politics in a quiet bus for about thirty-five minutes and then proceed to guide his blind friend out and on to the busy city. He continues babbling, one hand waving around actively and the other supporting his bat-eyed friend.

Days like that passed so slowly. Even the stiffest smile would loosen.

I loved Apple products. Simplicity and Minimalism.

Then when I hit the internet I begin seeing more of such identical websites.

Tumblr. Twitter.

Apple works fine in our hands. It is no hassle to our daily lives. It will not affect our character much.

But, IMO, Twitter and Tumblr might. Consider this from a user with 1,447 tweets and no Tumblr account, I am very aware of what minimalism of expression can do to people. It might makes us lazy, shy and impulsive.

You write less than 140 words what you think.

You hide very carefully what you have to say.

Simplicity huh?

Tumblr allows people to reblog stuff from other people blogs. Many of the articles are impressive and creative. They create an enchanting memory in my mind. But when people start reblogging it all over and over and over again, it makes it look pointless.

In a group of 2,000 tumblrs, there is a high certainly at least 75% of this people reblogs 8 post for every of their 10 blogs.

They sees someone's work. They reblog. They gets lazy.

I think Tumblr is good for minimalism and simplicity. In fact, it is awesome. I have drafted my blogspot and my livejournal to look as simple as possible. Tumblr was created a very months later with sophiscated controls that allows people to see at first sight what is displayed.

I buy that. That is good. I am a fan of simplicity most of the time.

Most of the people I follow are in their adolescent span.

But look, with those rebloggings and less than 140 words texts, it really kills the creativity in you. Sometimes you have much more to offer, but you are limited because of such sites.

To reach out, you need more than just simplicity. That's what Tumblr and Twitter are about. Reaching out.

People just might get lazier and lazier when they see 4000 works in a month.

Please don't sue, this is just an opinion.. I bid you a good day ahead.

p.s. it is probably till the end of the post that I realize this post is actually meaningless.

Just as the worst dunes are covered up with leaden mud, the rain poured. You knew it was going to happened. You did not bring the umbrella. Instead you strolled down the misled path of adam's, head down. You knew that society niceties walked with their feet curved backwards.I don't blame you, really I don't. I swear. That nearly killed me there. I really meant it. If you will to give me a chance to put myself in your shoes, maybe safer prescriptions can be done to our minds. Just like the rain. I hate to brood over it, makes my head feel like a balloon with two really sharp magnetic rocks attracting each other. I wished I could do better.

Looking at a sky without buildings. I saw heavy whites. They are so white. With shades of gray on them, makes me feel like air. Winding into a cacophony of colorful sounds within seconds after is just.. surreal. The roads turned into waves, the trees into vines and when you just had to concentrate on one object to break out of the cloud effect. Happy became just a word, you wouldn't know how to spell it.. You can walk down a street on stepped drains doing spinning turns and just jump for the clouds. Returning home from your short walk to the smell of cold air. The brooks had those reservoir where sweet water runs down with a unlimited supply. There are no theories, just life.

There are time when I feel I'm afraid for the world
There are times I'm ashamed of us all
When you're floating on all the emotion you feel
And reflecting the good and the bad

Will we ever know what the answer to life really is?
Can you really tell me what life is?
Maybe all the things that you know that are precious to you
Could be swept away by fate's own hand

When you think that we've used all our chances
And the chance to make everything right
Keep on making the same old mistakes
Makes untipping the balance so easy
When we're living our lives on the edge
Say a prayer on the book of the dead

My Strange Habits

Nov. 20th, 2009 | 11:22 am

1. When the day starts, I will rise, yawn, stretch, brush my teeth and walk around from one end of my house to the other end about 20 times. I find it a waste of time and occasionally have to remind me to buy a timetable for every moment of my life.

2. I dislike seasonal decorations with words on them reminding what kind of seasons are they there for. For example, if I see some red firecrackers and mandarin oranges, I simply understand that it is for The Chinese New Year. With the words, "Happy chinese new year!" on it, I guessed that it's left for others that didnt wish their families and friends enough. Same goes for Christmas trees and mistletoes. Especially those mistletoes.

3. If I leave my house for East Coast park, I will have my music turned on when I am wearing my shoes to the first conversation with the people I am supposed to meet. If I had to talk with any strangers or when I am ordering food, the headphones stays on, the music continues playing.

4. I wash my jeans after I wore it everytime. I had friends tell me it isn't really practical to do so. I have been doing it for three years and I don't think there might be a significant difference in quality.

5. I observe people and I always try to deduce what they are thinking and how they will become in future. This is very biased because most of my friends said I am still childish.

My 5 strange habits, after a long consideration of what to blog about.. What's yours like?

Music: Maps and Legends - REM

I loved watching the Simpsons. It's such an amazing shows in its own way, bringing back what had happened into the original beginning. Say, for example, Bart gets to migrate to Japan. Halfway through the show, Bart encountered some series of incidents which changed his mindset intended for the original.

I love watching The Simpsons with a different perspective, have you!?

I like how I find some enlightening messages in some of them. There are so many quotes in there I can't even rake them out in memory. Life lessons could actually be made out of them! I've been watching it for two months and had completed 5 seasons to date. It had been a good companion in the long MRT rides to anywhere..

Then theres those other days, where you just wished you haven't got married or had kids.. one minute your a carefree teenager whose dreams were being a rockstar or a photographer for playboy, then BAM!!, some babe gets her claws in ya and BOOM!, You got a bunch of kids that ALWAYS needs love.. So wham-O! you get stuck inside a boring job, where they don't let you play guitar or take pictures of naked women.. And all you could do is watch yourself get bald and fat and kis your dreams goodbye..
- Homer Simpson, Season 14, Episode 2; How I spent my Strummer vacation.

I don't know how you felt about the quote above but I replayed it about 5 times!

Pop goes the weasel!

Nov. 18th, 2009 | 07:25 am

Black then white are all i see in my infancy. Red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me, lets me see there is so much more and beckons me to look thru to these infinite possibilities. As below, so above and beyond, I imagine drawn outside the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind. Withering my intuition leaving opportunities behind. Feed my will to feel this moment urging me to cross the line. Reaching out to embrace the random. Reaching out to embrace whatever may come.

Spiral out, keep moving

I searched for form and land
For years and years I roamed
I gazed a gazely stare at all the millions here
We must have died along, a long long time ago

Kangaroo Jury

Nov. 17th, 2009 | 12:01 pm

I wish at a certain time in life, I can experience what every person is doing in the world.. All six billion of them.. Every sight, every sound, every taste and maybe not every feeling intertwined. What every cobble stone street, cottage, power cables, silver buildings, oversized towers, giant supermarkets had in them, I want to be there, witnessing the moment.

In words I had very little influence. In fact, I had none over my life. Hopefully that day will come :)

“Be what you would seem to be — or, if you’d like it put more simply — Never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise.”

Maybe Another

Nov. 15th, 2009 | 08:26 pm

Everyday we generate about 6,000 thoughts.
90% of it are thoughts of the past.
Only 10% of it helps for tomorrow.

Learn from yesterday
Live for today
Dream for tomorrow.

Between my father voice lies blue and sometimes red
My mother voice is grey
The trees sang and danced in green
My room smells like brown
The days that never happened laid, heavy in orange

Orange is my favorite color.

I see a 42 everywhere I go

Why is it that people think it's
so evil? What is it about it that there is scares people so deeply? Because they
are afraid that there is more to reality than they have ever confronted. That
there are doors that they're afraid to go in and they don't want us to go in
there either because if we go in, there we might learn something that they
don't know. And that makes us a little out of their control.

A change of seasons

Nov. 8th, 2009 | 11:03 pm

VII. The Crimson Sunset
I'm much wiser now
A lifetime of memories
run through my head
They taught me how
for better or worse, alive or dead
I realize there's no turning back
Life goes on the offbeaten track
I sit down with my son
Set to see the Crimson Sunset
(Gather ye rosebuds while ye may)
Many years have come and gone
I've lived my life, but now must move on
(Gather ye rosebuds while ye may)
He is my only one
Now that my time has come
Now that my life is done
We look into the sun
'Seize the day and don't you cry,
Now it's time to say good-bye
Even though I'll be gone,
I will live on, live on.'
